Well, I didn't get my job. I had a mediocre audition, and there was another person auditioning tonight that I expected would get the position even if I had a good night, so I don't feel too bad about it (she did get it, of course) Plus, I'm on the top of their sub list, and they put me on the first concert, so there's definitely a silver lining here, to wax cliche. I've also lined up one student thusfar, a chamber coaching job, and hopefully a gigging quartet in the works, so perhaps I can financially pull through this year. We'll see. Not as auspicious a start as I would have liked, but I suppose if there's a middle ground, I somehow managed to find it.

About Me
- Name: Nabir
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin, United States
I'm a cellist. That means I play cello, hopefully someday for money. I also have a deep interest in politics and whatever's going on in the world today, which is the main reason I created this blog; not so much as a means to share my "unique insights", since I'd be kidding myself if I thought that, but just for the fun of it.
